Looking for a healthy, plant-based alternative to traditional vegetable spreads? Try chia seed and flaxseed oil caviar – a flavorful, nutrient-rich vegan paste perfect for sandwiches, side dishes, or as a unique appetizer. While classic vegetable spreads (made with zucchini, eggplant, onions, and carrots) are staples of healthy cuisine, this chia and flaxseed spread offers a low-calorie superfood option packed with essential nutrients, antioxidants, and plant-based omega fatty acids.
Chia seeds are an incredible source of dietary fiber, antioxidants, and key minerals like zinc, manganese, magnesium, and phosphorus. They are also rich in omega-3 fatty acids, known for their anti-inflammatory properties and support of collagen production for healthy skin.
Raw flaxseed oil (especially when cold-pressed and organic) is loaded with omega-3, omega-6, and omega-9 fatty acids, as well as vitamins A, E, F, B, and K. It also contains lignans and phytosterols, biologically active compounds that help regulate metabolism and support overall wellness.
Combining chia seeds with raw, organic flaxseed oil creates a true “vitamin cocktail” that delivers a wealth of health benefits in every spoonful.
CraftOil, a producer of 100% natural, cold-pressed oils, offers premium, freshly made flaxseed oil without bitterness and carefully selected chia seeds, free from any chemical processing. These are clean-label products, ideal for cooking, clean eating, and boosting your overall health.

Perfect for a healthy, high-fiber, plant-based spread:
- 9 tbsp mineral or purified water;
- 3 heaping tbsp chia seeds;
- 2 sheets of nori (seaweed);
- 2 tbsp raw flaxseed oil (cold-pressed);
- 4 tbsp soy sauce (classic or teriyaki);
How to prepare the chia and flaxseed spread
Grind the nori sheets in a blender or coffee grinder. Combine with pre-washed chia seeds in a bowl. Heat water to 40–45°C (104–113°F) and pour over the mix. Stir well.
Let the mixture soak for 2–3 hours until it forms a jelly-like consistency. Add flaxseed oil and soy sauce, mix thoroughly. Chill in the refrigerator for 30–40 minutes before serving.
