For prepare you need:

  • 4 small chicken breasts;
  • 100 g (about ⅓ cup) honey (liquid or melted);
  • 1½ tbsp mustard seeds (any type);
  • 1 tbsp turmeric;
  • ½ tsp ground black pepper;
  • 2 tsp salt;

Step-by-step cooking instructions

Rinse the chicken breasts, pat dry with a paper towel, and make a few shallow parallel cuts on the surface. In a small bowl, mix the honey with salt, turmeric, pepper, and lightly crushed mustard seeds.

Rub the mixture all over the chicken, wrap in plastic film, and refrigerate for at least 2 hours (or overnight for deeper flavor). Transfer the marinated chicken to a parchment-lined baking sheet, cover with foil, and bake at 200°C (390°F) for about 30 minutes. Remove the foil and bake for another 5–7 minutes until golden brown.

Serve hot, optionally garnished with finely chopped fresh herbs — cilantro, dill, parsley, or basil.
