Hydrophilic oil for face: what it is and how to use it

One of the lesser-known but incredibly effective skincare products is hydrophilic oil. Its name literally means «oil that loves water». This product can be used as a makeup remover oil (even for waterproof cosmetics) or as an alternative to micellar water.

How to use hydrophilic oil

«Water-loving oils» can be applied in different ways:

• For facial cleansing. Perfect for dry, sensitive, or irritation-prone skin. Mix a few drops of hydrophilic oil with water, gently massage into the face (forehead, nose, cheeks, even around the eyes), then rinse;
• For washing hair. Since it contains no sulfates or phosphates, it does not damage hair structure or dry out the scalp. 8–10 drops are enough for medium-length hair;
• For intimate hygiene. Hydrophilic oil can replace gels or foams — it does not harm delicate mucous membranes or disrupt microflora;
• For homemade beauty masks. Add a few drops of oil to DIY face or hand masks, or use it as a natural body lotion;
