Ingredients (1 serving)
To make a healthy protein shake, you will need:
- 2 medium bananas;
- 50 g pumpkin seed flour;
- 400 ml water (preferably still mineral water or purified water);
- 100 g cranberries;
- 2 tablespoons honey;
- 1 pinch vanilla (optional);
Step-by-step preparation
In a blender bowl, combine the water and pumpkin seed flour. Stir manually until all lumps are dissolved. Wash the bananas, peel them, and cut them into small pieces. Add them to the blender with the flour mixture. Pour in the liquid honey (or honey melted in a water bath) and add the vanilla.
Rinse the cranberries thoroughly under running water, dry them with a clean kitchen towel, and add them to the blender with the other ingredients. Blend on low or medium speed for about 3–4 minutes until smooth.
The protein smoothie is ready to drink immediately after preparation. It tastes great both chilled and slightly warm.
Notes:
If cranberries are unavailable, you can substitute black currants, raspberries, or strawberries (fresh or frozen). To increase the nutritional value and protein content, add a small handful of crushed walnuts. This healthy protein drink is best consumed in the morning, 20–30 minutes after waking up, before tea or coffee. It is especially beneficial for people with low muscle mass or reduced overall body tone.
Pumpkin seed flour, crushed walnuts, almonds, amaranth, chia seeds, pumpkin seed oil, almond oil, and many other artisan natural products are always available for order at CraftOil, a Ukrainian online store of organic and natural foods.
