Ingredients (for 8 servings)
For prepare you need:
- 1 egg;
- 100 g sugar (adjust to taste);
- 100 g softened butter;
- 1 packet vanilla sugar;
- 1 pinch of salt;
- 1 tsp baking powder;
- 250 g all-purpose flour (preferably high grade);
- 100 g raw peanuts;
Step-by-step preparation
Mix the flour with baking powder and sift twice. In a bowl, cream together the softened butter, sugar, and vanilla. In a separate dish, beat the egg with salt until a light, foamy texture forms (by hand or with a mixer on low speed).
Combine the egg mixture with the butter-sugar mixture and stir well. Gradually add the flour while continuously mixing until a smooth, dense dough forms with no lumps. Refrigerate the dough for 30–40 minutes.
Roll it out to about 5 mm thick and cut shapes using a glass or cookie cutter. Transfer the cookies onto a parchment-lined baking sheet and sprinkle with peanuts. Bake for 20–25 minutes at 190°C (375°F). Let cool before serving.
Notes:
