How Amberboa oil is made

Amberboa oil is extracted from the seeds of musk cornflower, botanically known as Amberboa moschata. The seeds are collected, cleaned of impurities, and then dried at a temperature not exceeding 30°C (86°F).

The oil is produced using cold-press extraction on specialized presses equipped with wooden or polymer pressing barrels (most commonly made of caprolon). However, the seeds of this plant contain relatively little oil, which makes pure, unrefined amberboa oil quite expensive and rare. Blended oils are more commonly available commercially, with another vegetable oil, such as olive oil, serving as the base.

Like many other raw, natural oils, amberboa oil can also be produced at home. All that is needed is an oil press and the appropriate raw material — seeds of the desired variety.
