Peeling is optional. Peel the garlic and either crush it using a garlic press or finely mince it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Bring the water to a boil in a large pot. Add the potato wedges and cook over medium heat for about 4 minutes. Drain well in a colander and allow them to cool and dry slightly. Mix the cooled potatoes with the garlic, salt, paprika, turmeric and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.craftoil.net\/en\/product\/perets-chornyi-melenyi-craftoil-naturalna-spetsiia-dlia-izhi-ta-kulinarii\/\">black pepper<\/a> until evenly coated.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Heat the vegetable oil in a frying pan and cook the potatoes for about 10 minutes, turning occasionally, until they develop a crispy golden-brown crust.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Serve immediately while hot. If desired, garnish with freshly chopped herbs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Recipe tips:<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If you enjoy bold and spicy flavors, add fresh or dried onion along with the garlic, and replace regular salt with Svanetian salt for a richer taste.
