While pharmacy or cosmetic insect repellents (sprays, gels, ointments) are commonly used to keep bugs away, there\u2019s a safe, effective natural alternative: essential oils.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Unlike chemical repellents, natural essential oils are plant-based, generally well-tolerated, and rarely cause allergic reactions or skin irritation. They’re a safe solution for both adults and children.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Repellent properties of essential oils<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Essential oils are highly concentrated plant extracts rich in active compounds like menthol, camphor, citral, thymol, linalool, and eucalyptol. These give the oils a strong scent that repels insects by disrupting their nervous system and disorienting their sense of smell. In many cases, this leads to paralysis or even death.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
