About 80% of it is made up of ricinoleic acid, giving it a thick, honey-like texture.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Because of its density, pure castor oil is difficult to apply directly. It doesn\u2019t spread easily on hair and forms a heavy film on the skin that may feel uncomfortable. For hair strengthening, mix \u00bd teaspoon with your usual conditioner. For skin hydration, use it in masks once every 8\u201310 days.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Tips for safe and effective use:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Patch test first: before using castor oil, check for allergies. Apply 1\u20132 drops on the inner elbow and observe for 24 hours. If there\u2019s no irritation, redness, or itching, it\u2019s safe to use;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Under-eye care: mix 1 drop of castor oil with \u00bd tsp of<a href=\"https:\/\/www.craftoil.net\/en\/product\/almond\/\"> almond<\/a> or flaxseed oil. Add water if needed. Apply to clean skin, leave for 15 minutes, then rinse.
